Frequently asked questions

Mobile mechanic
answers.

What can a mobile mechanic repair at my location?

Many routine services, batteries, brakes, diagnostics and suitable minor mechanical repairs can be completed onsite. Jobs needing a hoist, specialist machinery or controlled workshop conditions may require referral.

How much does a mobile mechanic cost in Western Sydney?

The price depends on travel, diagnostic time, labour, parts, vehicle design, access and the repair required. Give the vehicle details and symptoms so the initial scope can be discussed before attendance.

Can a mobile mechanic service a car at my workplace?

Often yes, provided the property manager or employer permits it and there is a level, legal and safe work area with sufficient clearance.

Can a mobile mechanic diagnose a car that will not start?

A mobile mechanic can assess common causes including the battery, terminals, starter circuit and charging system. Some faults need further testing or workshop equipment.

Can a mobile mechanic clear a dashboard warning light?

A scan tool can retrieve diagnostic trouble codes, but codes do not always identify the failed part. Testing and symptom information are usually needed before recommending a repair.

Do mobile mechanics complete logbook servicing?

Ask whether the mechanic can perform the scheduled items for your exact make, model, engine and service interval and record the completed work appropriately.

Will using an independent mechanic automatically void a new-car warranty?

The ACCC explains that consumers may choose an independent repairer, subject to servicing being carried out to manufacturer standards. Read the warranty terms and keep detailed service records.

Can you issue a mobile pink slip?

Only an Authorised Inspection Scheme station can issue a NSW safety inspection report. This site does not claim mobile pink-slip availability; confirm authorisation before booking any inspection.

What information should I provide when booking?

Provide the registration or VIN if requested, make, model, year, engine, current kilometres, warning lights, symptoms, when the fault occurs and the exact location.

What type of location is suitable for mobile repairs?

A level, firm, legal off-street area is generally preferable. Busy roads, unsafe shoulders, soft ground, steep slopes and restricted car parks may not be suitable.

Do I need to supply parts?

Discuss parts before the booking. Compatibility can depend on the VIN, engine, build date and existing component, so avoid purchasing parts solely from a generic description.

Which Western Sydney suburbs are covered?

Coverage includes major Western Sydney centres and surrounding suburbs, subject to schedule, vehicle location and the work required. Call to confirm availability for your address.
